Questions about staying at the Guggach Aparthotel

Yes, this is possible with the city of Zurich as long as your contract lasts at least one month. Please ask reception for a special form and inform reception that you intend to register with the authorities as your home address. You can find more information on this topic on the City of Zurich website at Immigrating to Zurich. Unfortunately the site is only available in German.
Your postal address is: Your name, Hofwiesenstrasse 135, CH-8057 Zurich. Please DO NOT mention Guggach Aparthotel as there are always customs issues as you are identified as an employee instead of a guest. Specifying the apartment number is optional, but not required.
The postman brings all physical mail for Hofwiesenstrasse 135 to the reception. Our staff sorts them and places them in front of the apartment door. You must collect registered letters or paid items from reception at opening time. We will inform you if such a shipment occurs.
Yes, we strongly recommend that you take out liability insurance that covers personal damage to third parties. This is especially mandatory if you plan to use a bicycle. In some cases, home contents insurance can also be useful to protect your personal belongings. If you live in Switzerland, personal health insurance is mandatory. Please contact an insurance company to find out the exact conditions and ensure that you have sufficient insurance.
Yes, you have to pay Serafe's bill if you take up residence in Switzerland. Serafe is the Swiss company responsible for collecting the radio and television tax that all households in Switzerland have to pay, regardless of whether they actually own a radio or a television. Non-registered short-term guests will not receive an invoice from Serafe.
No, the radio and television tax must be paid by every household in Switzerland, regardless of whether they actually own a radio or a television. If you settle in Switzerland, you are obliged to pay this tax, regardless of where you live. As a company, Guggach AG pays this tax additionally.

The room detector always switches off if you cause smoke. Most of the time it is burnt food while cooking. Steam alone does not trigger the detectors. If you caused smoke while cooking, please open the window immediately. If there is no more smoke in the detector within 30 seconds, no alarm will be triggered. However, if the smoke detector continues to detect smoke, an alarm will be triggered. The reception staff then try to stop the fire department from being alerted. If this doesn't work or a second detector also goes off, the fire department will come. Please be sure to show the fire brigade what the source of the smoke was. Even a burnt piece of toast or meat is considered a fire, which means that it won't cost anything to use it, otherwise it will be very expensive.
If you have started a fire, the fire department will be alerted. To make it go faster, press the black button in the red box at the exits on the floor. Before doing so, smash the windshield with your elbow. Then leave the building on foot calmly and without panicking. Woman on the subject of booking

You can book an apartment directly via our website "Apartments" by entering your arrival and departure dates and then selecting the desired available apartment category. Alternatively, you can contact our reception by phone or email to make a booking or clarify any questions. We are at your disposal to assist you with booking and to ensure that your stay with us is pleasant.
Since most apartments are booked between one and three months and stays are often extended, we often don't know whether an apartment available today will still be available in 6 months. This particularly affects the larger apartments in the Space and Top categories. There are often only one-off pieces available.
In this case, we recommend that you book a smaller apartment, e.g. CITY category, to be safe. We can then note when booking that you would like to move to a larger apartment if one becomes available at short notice.
In contrast to "normal" rented apartments, which often only change at the beginning or end of the month, we have a high degree of flexibility when it comes to arrival and departure days. In principle, you can move in or out any day of the week, including weekends. The prerequisite is that the contract has been concluded in advance and the invoice has already been paid. On days when reception is closed you will receive a code for the key safe at the entrance.
You will receive feedback or the contract from us no later than the next working day.
All prices for the apartments can be found on our website under the heading "Apartments". There you can enter your arrival and departure dates. The available apartment categories are then listed. Click on Price. Prices vary depending on category, season and length of stay. If you have any questions about prices or would like an individual offer, please feel free to contact our reception.
Yes, we require a deposit for all bookings lasting a month or longer. The amount of the deposit is usually half a month's rent, but can vary depending on the category and length of stay. The deposit serves as security for any damage or outstanding payments. It will be refunded after check-out provided there are no damages or outstanding payments.
No, payment terms depend on the length of stay. For short stays (up to one month) payment is due in advance. For longer term stays (over a month) it is common practice to pay monthly in advance. The exact payment terms will be set out in your contract. Please read your contract carefully and contact our reception if you have any questions.
You can pay your bill in various ways, preferably by bank transfer. The account details or the Swiss QR code are on the invoice. You can also pay with credit card, debit card or cash at reception. Please ensure you make payment on time to secure your stay.
Yes, you can cancel your booking. The cancellation policy depends on the type of booking and the length of stay. If you are staying for one moment or more, you can usually cancel free of charge up to 30 days in advance or for 50% of the monthly amount up to 14 days before check-in. Fees may apply for short-term cancellations or no-shows. Please read the specific cancellation conditions in the further booking steps, in your contract or contact our reception for further information.
After booking on the website, you will receive an email from us with a PDF attachment containing your contract and an invoice. Please read the contract carefully, sign it (electronically) and email it back to reception. Alternatively, you can print out the contract and send it to us by post. Once we receive the signed contract, we will send you a confirmation and provide further information about your stay.
Yes, you can always make an inquiry if you have any questions or need more information before making a booking. You have various options for contacting us, including by email, telephone, using the contact form on our website or in the booking form if you enter another question. We are available to answer your questions and help you make a decision.
Yes, you are welcome to make an appointment with our reception to view an apartment before making a booking. Please contact us by email or telephone to find a suitable appointment or come to reception during opening hours. We look forward to showing you our apartments and answering your questions.

Questions about check-in

Check-in is possible from 3:00 p.m. If you would like to come earlier, you are welcome to arrange the time with reception. If the apartment is already available, you can also check in earlier. If this is not possible, you can leave your luggage at reception and explore the area until your apartment is ready.
Yes, this is possible, provided that the contract has been concluded in advance and the invoice has already been paid. You will receive a code for the key safe at the entrance so that you can check in late in the evening or on weekends. Please inform reception of your expected arrival time in advance so that we can ensure you receive the code on time and ensure a smooth check-in. Please come to reception on the following working day with your ID to complete the check-in process.
To check in, you will need a valid ID or passport to confirm your identity. If you are traveling with children, please also bring the children's ID cards with you. If payment is still pending, please bring a valid debit or credit card to complete the payment.
Upon check-in, you will be greeted by our reception staff and given all the necessary information about your stay, including the apartment number and a tour of the house. You have the opportunity to ask questions. In addition to the internet access code, you will also receive an inventory list for your apartment. You sign a copy stating that you received the same form and that you have three days to report any defects or damage.

Questions about check-out

Check-out is required by 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure. If you want to check out later, you can request the reception. If possible, we will try to organize a later check-out. Unfortunately, this is not always possible, especially if the apartment has to be prepared for the next guest because they will be arriving soon.
In this case, check your apartment carefully again for personal items so that nothing is forgotten. Then place the key cards on the table or kitchen counter and leave the apartment without a key card. But be careful: there is no going back. If you have rented a parking space in the garage, drive the car out of the garage with the card beforehand.
Nothing.
Für Personen, welche ein oder mehrere Monate bei uns waren, benötigen wir noch die neue Adresse und das Bankkonto zur Rückerstattung der Kaution. Otherwise you don't have to do anything except leave the apartment. Please leave the apartment in a tidy condition so that the next guests can feel comfortable. If you have damaged something or something is missing, please report this to reception in advance so that we can put it right. We hope you had a pleasant stay and look forward to welcoming you again.
We always welcome feedback, both positive and constructive criticism, so that we can continually improve our service. You are welcome to send us your feedback by email to reception or share it directly during your check-out conversation. We look forward to your review on platforms such as Google or TripAdvisor. Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich die Zeit nehmen, uns Ihre Meinung mitzuteilen!
